Tags: csi (2 pics) CSI: NY (Crime Scene Investigation: New York) is an American police procedural TV series, which premiered on sep. 22, 2004 (8 years ago) on CBS. The series was the second spin-off, indirectly, from the popular show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and directly from CSI: Miami, during an episode in which several of the CSI: NY characters made their first appearance. The show currently airs Wednesdays at 10PM ET/PT on CBS. The show trails the investigations of a team of New York City Police Department forensic scientists as they unveil the circumstances behind mysterious and unusual deaths and other crimes. CSI: NY was produced in partnership with the Canadian media company Alliance Atlantis. The company dissolved after the season three in 2007 (5 years ago). All production now is done under the purview of CBS Paramount TV. The show's 100th episode aired on Nov. 19, 2008 (4 years ago), in the USA. Season 6 began on sep. 23, 2009 (3 years ago) at 10:00PM ET in the USA. Channel 5 in the UK began broadcasting Season 6 on Saturday 9th Jan. 2010 (2 years ago) at 9:45pm and RTÉ Two in Ireland will broadcast Season 6 from Jan. 2010 (2 years ago).
