Information about Funcom: MidgardScandinavia has much history and legends tied to the Norse of the Dark Ages. Funcom plans to bring this era to life in a new massively multiplayer, online game called Midgard. However, instead of being rooted in the adventuring model of today?s large MMORPGs, trade professions, empire building, and more strategic elements will serve as the foundation. All characters will be humans and have professions like fisherman, hunter, blacksmith, Viking, hunter, tailor and farmer. As you become richer, you can hire servants, and as a leader you must set the policies of your family and tribe. Midgard will feature a 3D world of deep forests, fjords, icy glaciers and mountains. Trolls, sea serpents and other creatures of Norse mythology will be found in the wilderness.
The development of Midgard is currently on hold.
