Sandrine Gestin

Sandrine Gestin is a French illustrator born in 1969 (43 years ago) in Quimper.

After a tray of literature, she joined a school of graphic art (ESAG). Already very gifted, she skips the second year of ESAG, and continuing training of three years. Upon its release, it begins to make a press book that tries to improve by working hard for another year. Then come BD projects: the first is not held as scheduled, and 5 boards format grapes remain unused. She then worked with Marc Bati on another comic project, but work stopped when Sandrine finally realizes that the BD is perhaps not what she wants to do and represent, with its technical a long and tedious.

She works at the time only acrylic paint, and wants to broaden his horizons. It collaborates with the magazine Tilt (which disappears very quickly), then gets to work for the game publisher UBI Soft, and finally enters the world of publishing with the house Denoel. She begins to develop his personal style and decided to solicit publishers: a long collaboration with Grund begins. Then subsequent collaborations with Mn�mos editions, I read magazines like Casus Belli and Science & Vie Junior, and creation of maps of role playing. In 1999 (13 years ago), already has several strong works on it, it starts in the oil painting...

Today, she works for the Pre editions Clerks (The Encyclopedia of the wonderful Edward Brasey, Calendar fairies Sandrine Gestin) and Edge editions continents with whom she develops her books is full author (text, images, layout): Small-maker, or the amazing journey of a fairy and Sketchbook or Lily and the key of dreams...
