With her debut single Sweet About Me, released in Mar. 2008 (4 years ago), she became the youngest artist to have topped the Australian charts.Cilmi live with his parents Paul and Joe (who comes from Calabria, Italy) and his brother Joseph. She attended Sacred Heart Girls' College, but now continues education through correspondence. At an early age she was interested in a wide range of musical styles, including Nina Simone, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Sweet, T. Rex and Cat Stevens. Despite her singing talent, she was told that she lacked the discipline necessary to pursue a singing career. At this time she sang with a band performing cover versions of Led Zeppelin, Jet, Silverchair and others. She recorded original songs with writer / producers Barbara and Adrian Hannan of The Song Store. In 2004 (8 years ago) she caught the attention of Michael Parisi, a record label boss of Warner Music, while she performed the Rolling Stones song "Jumping Jack Flash", a festival in Melbourne. At the age of thirteen Cilmi traveled to the United States and the United Kingdom accompanied by Adrian Hannan and was offered four major U.S. deals. She eventually signed a contract with Island Records in the United Kingdom in 2004 (8 years ago). 31. Mar. 2008 (4 years ago) was Cilmis album Lessons to Be Learned, published in the United Kingdom. It was written and recorded with the production team Xenomania. In Jul. 2008 (4 years ago), her second single, Save The Lies, published in the United Kingdom. Discography
