Charles Schuck, an F-15C Eagle pilot assigned to the 71st Fighter Squadron "Ironmen," Langley Air Force Base, Va., fires an AIM-7 Sparrow medium range air-to-air missile at an MQM-107E "Streaker" subsscale aerial target drone over the Gulf of Mexico while supporting a Combat Archer mission, Jan. 19, 2005 (7 years ago). The unit was deployed to Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, to support Combat Archer Air-to-Air Weapons System Evaluation Program missions being hosted by the 83rd Fighter Weapons Squadron located at Tyndall. Over the two-week deployment, the unit fired AIM-120 Advanced medium range air-to-air missiles, AIM-7 Sparrow medium range air-to-air missiles, AIM-9 Sidewinder heat-seeking missiles and conducted dissimilar air combat tactics with F-16C Fightin Falcons and the F/A-22 Raptor.
