Pictures of Attack of the ShowInformation about Attack of the Show!Attack of the Show! (commonly referred to as AOTS) is an American live television program shown weeknights on G4, G4 Tech TV in Canada and Fuel TV in Australia. The program is hosted by Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn. Attack of the Show! reviews new technological items, parodies daily news, and gives exclusive previews of upcoming and highly anticipated video games, movies and digital media.HistoryThe program is known for commonly having segments where viewers can call, chat (the Virtual Audience), and e-mail questions which are answered live on the show. The show premiered on Mar. 28, 2005 (5 years ago) as the replacement for The Screen Savers. The show originally aired live five days a week; the week of Jan. 2, 2006 (4 years ago), the show was truncated to air for only four days a week. Fridays formerly featured a "Mash Up" which compiles the best segments from the week's four live shows. The show returned to the air live, five days a week, in Sep. 2008 (2 years ago), but G4 announced as of Monday, Mar. 2, 2009 (last year), Attack of the Show! would be cut back once again to four days a week with a "best of" show running in the Friday time-slot. Attack of the Show! aired its 1,000th episode on Jul. 9, 2009 (last year).PersonalitiesMunn and Pereira on a panel for Attack of the Show! at the 2008 (2 years ago) Comic Con in San Diego, California.Host Kevin Rose, one of the holdovers from the TechTV days, left the show in May 2005 (5 years ago). The show announced a search for a new host among the show's audience, and for several months various candidates auditioned on the air. In the end none of the candidates were actually selected, although, puzzlingly, this was never actually announced on the air. Sarah Lane, who had previously been a co-host and segment contributor, gradually became the show's official host. She continued in this capacity until Thursday, Apr. 6, 2006 (4 years ago), when she and Brendan Moran announced their engagement and stated that they would be leaving the show. The Morans appeared on the show, via satellite, on Jul. 13, 2006 (4 years ago) to talk about their adventures. The couple had been involved with TechTV and G4 since 2001 (9 years ago), and their departure, like Rose's, was greeted with distress by the show's fans.Olivia Munn (15 walls) was hired to replace Lane and began hosting on Monday, Apr. 10, 2006 (4 years ago). Zach Selwyn, the runner up on ESPN's Dream Job, was hired to replace Moran and started his hosting duties a week later on Apr. 17, 2006 (4 years ago). Wil O'Neal, a CNET senior editor who was one of the hosting candidates following Rose's departure, appeared on the show semi-regularly as a technology correspondent until 2007 (3 years ago), when O'Neal departed from the program and was replaced by comedian Chris Hardwick, former host of Singled Out; he is also currently a writer for Wired magazine and the host for G4's The Soup spinoff, Web Soup. Pereira is now the sole remaining host from the AOTS launch in 2005 (5 years ago). Olivia Munn Brings the Hotness in Maxim The Hollywood Gossip - 94 days ago Olivia Munn hosts the G4 program Attack of the Show. Based on her recent spread in Maxim, however, the series should be retitled Attack of the Hotness. Inside the magazine, the model speaks on two topics important to men everywhere: her burgeoning movie career (she'll appear in The Slammin Salmon and Iron Man 2) and her love life: On upcoming film roles: "I was a big fan of Super Troopers, so working with the Broken Lizard guys was so much fun. For Iron Man, I had to improv with Robert Downey Jr., which is like going up against LeBron in basketball. At one point he stopped and said, “Can we give a round of applause to Olivia, because she’s rocking it right now.” I was so happy I went through a McDonald’s drive-through on my way home and ordered two cheeseburgers and some fries." On her private life: "I just broke up with my boyfriend, so I’m officially single. But one thing I find unbelievably annoying is all these guys in my life who want to save me. They’re like, “Do you feel alone?” Everyone’s turned into Oprah!" Here's something aside from talk shows to look at, fellas. Click on each picture of Munn for a larger version:
