Biography for Jakki Degg

Jakki Degg (born 20 Feb. 1978 (34 years ago)) is an English model and actress. While the bulk of her work has been done in England, she has appeared in American movie and TV, and has gained international fame through posters and magazine pictorials.

Degg was born in Stone, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom, Europe.

Degg studied dance as a child, particularly ballet, and won several competitions. She went on to hairdressing school and managed a salon of her own by age 20.

Model

Jakki became famous when, at her mother's encouragement, she entered and won the inaugural Max Power magazine babes competition. Following this she became a Page 3 girl for the The Sun newspaper, and was voted "greatest ever Page 3 girl" in 2001 (11 years ago). She has posed topless and semi-nude for lad mags such as Front.

Jakki has took a break from topless modelling, preferring to remain more covered up. Jakki returned to page 3 of The Sun in Aug. 2006 (6 years ago) after a four year absence.

In Oct. 2006 (6 years ago) Jakki commented in a lad mag interview that she would consider posing for Playboy, if she were the cover girl and the money was right.

Degg appeared in a 2009 (3 years ago) calendar.

Actress

Jakki has appeared on TV several times. She won the glamour models charity special edition of The Weakest Link (BBC1) with her winnings going to the RSPCA. She had a small role in the drama Is Harry on the Boat? (Sky One) and played the lead in the short movie Remember My Dream, directed by Joao Costa Menezes. She was also a stand-in for the tv show The Games but was not used. She wielded a shotgun on Channel 4's Banzai as viewers were encouraged to wager on how many balloons she would pop with it.

She also starred in The Poker Academy, and the American movie Eurotrip, and will appear in the upcoming movies Catch .44, Clubbing to Death, and Goal! III.

Designer

Jakki is currently[when?] trying her hand at fashion design. She designed and made the dress she wore to the recent[when?] FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World awards.
