Biography for Brooke Hogan

Brooke Ellen Bollea (born May 5, 1988 (24 years ago)), better known by her stage name Brooke Hogan, is an American R&B and pop singer, actress and TV personality. She appeared on the reality-TV series Hogan Knows Best, which focused on her family, and which premiered on Jul. 10, 2005 (7 years ago) on VH1. Since the cancellation of Hogan Knows Best, she's starred in a spin-off reality series called Brooke Knows Best which focuses on her life now independent from her parents and living with two roommates. She released her debut album Undiscovered in 2006 (6 years ago). In 2009 (3 years ago), she released her second studio album, The Redemption, and will appear in a second season of Brooke Knows Best.

Early years

Brooke was born in Tampa, Florida, the oldest child of professional wrestler Hulk Hogan (Terrence Gene "Terry" Bollea) and Linda Bollea, and the older sister of Nick Bollea.

In high school, she took dance classes, voice lessons, and gymnastics. She joined the cheerleading squad of her Clearwater, FL school, Clearwater Central Catholic, in her freshman year. Hogan graduated from high school at the age of sixteen.

Career

Music
Hogan was signed to Trans Continental Records in 2002 (10 years ago). Some early music was produced with the help of Rich Cronin. Her first song in the United States singles charts was "Everything to Me". Produced and written by Shep Goodman and Kenny Gioia as part of her album This Voice, the single was released in Jul. 2004 (8 years ago). It appeared at #97 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Hot 100 Singles Sales, but dropped off the chart in a few weeks. The album was planned for release sep. 21, 2004 (8 years ago), but this never happened. Hogan opened for Hilary Duff (101 walls) in support of her unreleased debut. She sang the national anthem before the last game of the 2004 (8 years ago) Stanley Cup Playoffs on Jun. 7, 2004 (8 years ago). During this time manager Larry Rudolph helped her rise to fame as well as work on her debut album.

In 2006 (6 years ago), Hogan changed record labels and became the first artist signed to Scott Storch's label, initially called Storchaveli Records, but later named Storch Music Company. Hogan's first single, "About Us", premiered on Season 2 finale of Hogan Knows Best. The album, Undiscovered, was released Oct. 24, 2006 (6 years ago). In 2006 (6 years ago) Brooke won a Teen Choice Award for Best Choice Grill for the music video for "About Us".

She stated in a MySpace blog that she plans to release her second album in May 2009 (3 years ago). She also stated that the second season of Brooke Knows Best will premiere around the same time. The premier of the second season is likely to coincide with the release of Hogan's second album. In 2009 (3 years ago), she released her new single from her upcoming album, "Falling", featuring Stacks. She revealed during a visit to Power 96 in Mar. that the name of her second album would be The Redemption, from SoBe Entertainment. The album was released on Jul. 21, 2009 (3 years ago) with the singles "Ruff Me Up" and "Hey Yo!".

Acting
Hogan appeared with her father in an hour-long profile on VH1, (Inside) Out: Hulk Hogan, Stage Dad. The success of this special spawned an entire series. Hogan Knows Best debuted in Jul. 2005 (7 years ago) and was the highest-rated series premiere in VH1's network history. The series, which helped her become a household name, was according to Hulk Hogan intended in part to promote Brooke's music career.

Hogan Knows Best presented her father as strict with her dating. On the show, Hulk placed a GPS tracker on Brooke's vehicle that enables him to track her whereabouts and can even remotely shut down the engine of his daughter's car if he feels the need to do so. However, Brooke said in a later interview that her father loosened up after her eighteenth birthday.

Hogan appeared as a panel judge in America's Prom Queen in early 2008 (4 years ago). A spin-off series of Hogan Knows Best called Brooke Knows Best premiered on Jul. 13, 2008 (4 years ago) on VH1.

Hogan will be making her movie debuts in two movies in 2009 (3 years ago) including the Indie Horror movie Devour alongside Kelly Osbourne and in the animated movie Little Hercules in Disney Digital 3-D.

Modeling
Hogan appeared in the Nov. 2006 (6 years ago) edition of FHM, becoming the first FHM Cover Model under 21-years-old.
