Biography for Adrianne Curry

Adrianne Marie Curry (born Aug. 6, 1982 (28 years ago) in Joliet, Illinois) is an American model, best known as the first winner of the reality television series America's Next Top Model. She is married to Christopher Knight, who portrayed Peter Brady on The Brady Bunch. She runs a weekly show on the NowLive radio network, in which she is an investor.

She has modeled for several magazines, including Life & Style Weekly, Us Weekly, Star, OK!, Stuff, People, Maxim and made the Maxim Hot 100 list in 2005 (5 years ago)., Spanish Marie Claire, Von Dutch, Von Dutch Watches, Salon City, Macy's, Famous Stars and Straps, Lucky, Ed Hardy, Kinis Bikinis, Beverly Hills Choppers, and Merit Diamonds.

Curry's runway shows include Anne Bowen Spring 2005 (5 years ago), Jamie Pressly, Pamela Anderson's line, Ed Hardy, Von Dutch, and Christopher Deane. She has appeared in a commercial for the Merit Diamonds Sirena Collection that ran from Nov. 2004 (6 years ago) to Jan. 2006 (4 years ago).

Curry appeared on the cover and in a nude pictorial for Playboy in Feb. 2006 (4 years ago) (U.S. Version), for which she was paid (US) $2,000,000. She returned for a second cover and nude pictorial in the Jan. 2008 (2 years ago) issue. Curry was a co-host on the television game show Ballbreakers. In 2006 (4 years ago), she appeared on Gameshow Marathon as a celebrity panelist on the Match Game episode. She starred in "Rock Me Baby" (2004, 6 years ago) and Half and Half (2003, 7 years ago) on UPN. Curry also appeared on Dirt starring Courtney Cox, with whom she shared scenes. She appeared in rock band's The Click Five music video Just the Girl, along with husband Christopher Knight.

Curry appeared on VH1's celeb sci-fi reality show Celebrity Paranormal Project in 2006 (4 years ago), along with her husband.

Curry appeared on WE tv's From Russia with Love. The show documents her trip to Russia. It aired in Nov. 2007 (3 years ago). She has also starred in the movies Fallen Angels, Light Years Away and "Jack Rio".

In early 2005 (5 years ago), Curry appeared on VH1's fourth season of The Surreal Life. After the season ended, Curry and fellow house guest Christopher Knight began dating, and later moved in together. On Sep. 11, 2005 (5 years ago), VH1 began airing My Fair Brady, a show that documented their life together and paid her an estimated US $450,000. The show led her to being featured in Maxim's Hot 100, a list of the "hottest" women on earth. and ranked #100 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2005 (5 years ago). Season 3 of My Fair Brady began airing on Jan. 21, 2008 (2 years ago) and focused on Curry's breast enhancement surgery and Knight's competing (and contrary) desire to start a family.

Personal life

Knight proposed to Curry on the season finale of the show, which aired on Nov. 6, 2005 (5 years ago). The show was renewed for a second season, and focused on the couple's wedding preparations. The second season began airing on VH1 in Jun. 2006 (4 years ago). The couple wed in Curry's hometown of Joliet on May 29, 2006 (4 years ago) in a gothic-style wedding. Says Curry of the goth-themed ceremony, "I wanted to go as Gothic as I could and as traditional as I could without ruffling anyone's feathers.... I wanted to have a black dress... but I knew it would break my grandmother's heart."

Is Twitter going all Heroes on us? In other words, we're wondering if it has reached the point where it can no longer improve, and will suffer a slow decline occasionally punctuated by cheap stunts to remain relevant (see Hayden Panettiere girl-on-girl scene). The proverbial jumping of the shark, if you will. Twitter may be the perfect way to find out what your favorite celebrities - or even Spencer Pratt, for that matter - are eating, doing or thinking RIGHT NOW. But for stars, is all this "social networking" more trouble than it's worth? Hung star Jane Adams was caught dining-and-dashing at an L.A. restaurant recently, thanks to her stilted waiter's lightning-quick Twitter update. Bam! Lindsay Lohan makes a Tweeting mockery of herself almost daily. The Tila Tequilas and Adrianne Currys of the world practically beg for attention on it. The Twitterverse knows few bounds. Is that a good thing? Heck, even the President of the United States was done in by a Twittering reporter, who circulated his off-camera remark that Kanye West is a jackass. Then yesterday, Miley Cyrus deleted her Twitter page for new beau Liam Hemsworth, a move somewhat emblematic of the fact that it's so overexposed. What's more, the Federal Trade Commission recently outlined new rules for bloggers (celebrities and commoners alike) to abide by, including having to publicly state if someone's paying you to endorse a product on a blog or social network. Fortunately for Speidi, that brand is Speidi. But many other celebrities are endorsing other products left and right. How this plays out will be interesting. Even if they don't follow Miley's lead, some stars should at least tone down the Tweeting a little. After all, those who do not Twitter - Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Zac Efron, etc. - may end up having more staying power. Gotta leave 'em wanting more, after all.

It clearly appeals to many star crazed fans, and Twitter was practically invented with the Adrianne Curry, Kim Kardashian and Aubrey O'Day types of the world in mind. Just don't expect us not to call you out on it. Two weeks ago, Aubrey O'Day feigned indignation over criticism of her appearance in PeepShow. Everyone is too critical and judgmental of others' bodies, said she. Basically, Aubs hates attention ... except for when she begs for it every second of the day with photos like this, which she posted on Twitter over the weekend ... On her Twitter page, Aubrey begged for attention wrote of the photo above: "What the F*#K is going on with my cleavage tonight! NEXT TIME t-shirt and jeans!" We repeat, there's nothing wrong with Aubrey O'Day nude. There are worse things to ogle, and if she makes her living flaunting her assets, more power to her. But when you shove those giant things in everyone's face 24/7, don't be surprised if you get some negative feedback, girl. You're inviting praise and criticism.

In a display of pathetic self-promotion only Tila Tequila would love, Curry confirmed that her 15 minutes of fame have long passed with this gem today: Sure, that cleavage is nice, and this is not an angle you see every day, so you have to give her points for originality. But give it up, girl. It's over.

Still, we'd have hoped that Kim Kardashian could think of more creative ways to make headlines than to post a lingerie-clad pic of herself on her account. The picture was released on the same day that Kim wrote of a piece of coffee cake: "I had one bite to satisfy my craving, that was it! Coffee cake was yummy, but a moment on the lips is a life time on the hips!" Ironic. Kardashian has also proven that a moment on all fours for Ray J is a life time on video.
